From The Trail

Today is Monday, November 5th, the first day in a long time that we didn't have 6 a.m. practice, and man it felt good to sleep in---even though I had an 8 a.m. class. Although, I still had to get up at 7 a.m., I got two extra hours of sleep. We had an open weekend, because we have regionals in Alabama, Nov. 10. After that, Coach Reif is iving us a week off, and then we start practicing for indoor track season

Basically, after the 10th, my cross country career will be officially over. This is my senior year of eligibility, but I'll still be in school.

Today (Nov. 5) we have practice at Tatum Park at 3:30 pm, we'll probably do 400 meter repeats.

I wasn't recruited to run specifically cross country, but since I run the 400 meters and the 800 meters, I ran cross country for conditioning. Although I'm expected to be competitive, it has never been my primary sport.

Nov. 6

Well, we had practice yesterday and we had 10 x 400-meter for workout. It wasn't extremely hard, because we have regionals this Saturday (Nov. 10). We had a good workout. Today we take media guide headshot pictures, and instead of running and then lifting, we are just running for about 30-35mins. Coach Reif is trying to get us ready for regionals, so our workouts aren't too demanding. I think we have 200 meter repeats tomorrow, well we'll see.
