Kiprotich Named Cross Country Female Athlete of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss' Naomi Kiprotich was named Conference USA Cross Country Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Auburn Invitational over the weekend.

Kiprotich finished 13th overall out of 217 runners at the Auburn Invitational. She posted a season-best time of 17:30.29 over the 5K course, knocking 1:13 off her last time in the 5K. The senior has finished in the top 15 in all three races, posting a lower time in each race.
