Files associated with this release: Southern Miss Cross Country Team Finishes 11th at the Auburn Invitational Senior Naomi Kiprotich was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles, posting her best time of the season at 17:30.29 and finishing 12th. Dijana Kojic finished 31st with a time of 18:03.06 followed by Brittany Wood (48) with a time of 18L25.37, Lila Balamane (86) with a time of 19:03.73, Ronna Sandoval (104) with a time of 19:22.11, Alisha Edwards (121) with a time of 19:38.88 and Karen Tankersley (129) with a time of 19:53.17. This was the first time each member of the team recorded times under the 20 minute-mark. "Our team ran really well today," Head Cross Country Coach Deb Osteen said. "We beat some quality teams in this race. I believe all the times we ran today were under 20 minutes and that says a lot about this team. I am really proud of them." Samford won the team championship, placing three runners in the top 20 out of 217 with 86 points followed by Lamar with 99, Alabama 138, Mississippi State 148, USF 177, New Mexico 180, Kennesaw Sate 214, Chattanooga 214, Emory 241, Western Kentucky 273, Southern Miss 281, Alabama-Huntsville 288, LSU 323, Auburn 342, Lipscomb 352, South Carolina 431, Jacksonville State 452, Columbus State 477, Troy 521, West Georgia 547, South Alabama 562, Birmingham Southern 574 and Alabama State 684.
