Cross Country Team Hosts 25th Annual Southern Miss Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss will host the 25th Annual Southern Miss Cross Country Invitational at the Van Hook Golf Course, Lake Sehoy Pavilion side Friday afternoon.

Twelve schools will compete in the event, including defending champion, Tulane, who won both the men and women's events the last two years. Other schools competing are Alcorn State, Jackson State, Loyola (La.), Millsaps, Mississippi College, South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, Tougaloo College, Xavier (La.), UNO and Southern Miss women.

The women's race will cover a 5K course, beginning approximately 4:30 p.m., while the men's race will cover four miles and begin at 5 p.m.

Results of the meet will be available at the www.SouthernMiss.com by approximately 7:30 p.m.
