DES MOINES, Iowa - The Southern Miss track and field teams completed competition at the Drake Relays over the weekend, turning in some top performances.

Ashley May recorded a season-best mark in the long jump with a jump of 6.09m (19-11.75), finishing fifth. She followed with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.52m (41-1).

The 4x200-meter relay team finished eighth with a time of 1:40.92, while the 4x100-meter relay ran a time of 47.54 and the 4x400-meter relay posted a time of 3:49.56. The 1,600-meter sprint medley relay registered a time of 4:07.06. The distance medley relay ran a time of 12:39.46.

Suesanna Williams recorded a throw of 49.53m (162-6) in the hammer. Hana Prudilova had a throw of 45.97m (150-10) in the javelin.

Vincent Tanui finished eighth in the 5,000 meters with a season-best time of 14:24.26. Noah Slater posted a mark of 52.50m (172-3) in the javelin.

The teams will travel to Oxford, Miss., for the Ole Miss Invitational.
