Women's Tennis Concludes Play at the Cougar Fall Draw

HOUSTON, Texas - The women's tennis team wrapped up its fall season, competing in the Houston Cougar Fall Draw over the weekend.

The Lady Eagles put together another solid day on the courts winning nine matches.

In the singles competition, Zoe Lee defeated Stasa Vujosevic (SHSU) and Ashley Longoria (SELA), 6-0, 6-1 in winning the Flight B consolation draw, while Shannon Rogers defeated Hoang Huynh (Lee), 6-1, 6-1, and Francesca Bassoo (Lee), 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles play, Elja van Berlo and Gutterman downed Morgane Dagot and Ashley Longoria (SELA), 9-7, and Laura Ring and Alix Young (Houston), 8-4. Hollie Robinson and Alex Kaluza defeated Jordan McCombs and Lucy Forward (Houston), 9-7.

Rogers and Lee knocked off Victoria Martinez and Maria Cornish (McNeese State), 8-5 and Adriana Hernandez and Bassoo (Lee), 8-1.
