HOUSTON, Texas - The Southern Miss women's tennis team collect 10 match wins at the Cougar Fall Tournament through the first two days of the rained soaked tournament.

In singles competition, Sherry Price won her first match with a 6-3, 7-6 (2) win over Natalie Araya (Lee College), but lost to Panova (TAMCC) in three sets, 5-7, 6-1, 10-6. Price will take on Roxana Enica of Stephen F. Austin on Sunday.

Brittany Serret lost to Breda (Southeastern La.), 6-4, 6-3, but came back to defeat Stephanie Eusebe (New Mexico State).

Stephanie Dellocono was undefeated in her flight, posting wins over Erika Iriarte (TAMCC), 7-6, 2-6, 10-2, and Bonnie Phillips (SE La.), 6-1, 4-6, 10-6. Ali Blackett also remained undefeated in the same flight, recording wins over Stephanie Rodriguez (Lee College), 2-6, 6-0, 10-5, and Lucy Howard (Houston), 6-4, 7-6 (2). Dellocono will face off against Blackett on Sunday in the winners' bracket.

Zoe Lee lost to Peta Taylor in three sets, 7-6, 4-6, 12-10. She is set to play Tatiana Smolinakova (SFA) on Sunday.

Lauren Gutterman posted a straight-set win over Gabriela Gadeva (SFA), 6-2, 6-1. She will play Patricia Manzur of (SHSU) on Sunday.

Natalia Parrado lost to Jordan McCombs (Houston), 6-1, 6-4, while Shannon Rogers defeated Bianca Discordia (NMSU), 5-7, 6-2, 10-5. Rogers will take on Mary Harrison (SFA) on Sunday, while Parrado will play Lidiya Tsurkanu (SHSU).

In doubles, Dellocono and Gutterman defeated Leila Salek and Jordan McCombs (Houston), 9-8, before falling to Nina Ciric and Panova (TAMCC), 8-4.

Lee and Serret lost to Irina Sotnikova and Petra Taylor (SHSU), 8-0, and Zeljka Juricek and Aleksa Costa (NMSU), 8-5.

Blackett and Rogers lost to Erika Iriarte and Alexandra Dyckman (TAMCC), 9-7. They will play Smolinakova and Gabriela Gadeva.

Price and Parrado lost to Vicky Simpson and Forward (Houston), 8-2, then, knocked off Adriana Hernandez and Anorca Villasana (Lee College), 8-4.
