STONY BROOK, NY - The Southern Miss women's tennis continued play in the Stony Brook Classic, posting seven singles and doubles wins over the first two days.

In the first day of action, the Lady Eagles competed in doubles and came away with five wins.

Alexandra Kaluza (Beaver, Pa.) and Shannon Rogers (Virginia Beach, Va.) defeated Dunjo Djuranovic and Heather Bybee of Auburn, 8-2.

Lauren Gutterman (Mandeville, La.) and Elja van Berlo (Erp, The Netherlands) defeated Erin McCarthy (Marist), 8-1; Hollie Robinson (Norwich, Great Britain) and Zoe Lee (Hale, Great Britain) defeated Emily Zampello and Kayla O'Donovan (Marist), 8-1; Kaluza and Rogers defeated Joanna Macaluso and Emig Faxengreer (Marist), 8-0. Kaluza and Rogers also defeated Jessica Zoulay and Melissa Reynolds (Toledo), 8-6.

In singles play, Kaluza defeated Stephanie Elie of LIU, 6-1, 6-3 and Michael Tollerton of Army, 6-4, 5-7, 9-7.
