HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss soccer team was forced to cancel their game tonight at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond due to Hurricane Ike.

The outer bands of Hurricane Ike have produced a tropical storm warning and a tornado watch on the campus of Southeastern University forcing officials to cancel tonight's game.

School officials from both universities were unsuccessful in attempting to move the game to Hattiesburg tonight as an alternative plan.

The Southern Miss soccer team will return to action Sunday afternoon against Louisiana-Lafayette at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
