HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss soccer team has been forced to move their home opener vs. Troy to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at Hattiesburg High School's football stadium.

The Southern Miss Soccer complex, which is a natural grass surface, is still unplayable after Hurricane Gustav's impact on the Pine Belt region. Hattiesburg High's football stadium, which is located only a few miles from campus is artificial turf and lined for soccer games.

The game was originally scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex.

The Golden Eagles are off to a perfect 3-0 start after capturing the inaugural Bulldog Invitational title this weekend hosted by Mississippi State.

Troy is also undefeated, coming into Hattiesburg with a 1-0-1 record as they have defeated Faulkner University and tied Southeastern University.

Live stats for the game will be available on southenrmiss.com
