MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- - The Memphis Lady Tigers scored two goals in each half to defeat visiting Southern Miss, 4-0, in Conference USA women's soccer action Friday night at Memphis, Tenn.

The Lady Eagles (7-9, 3-4) dropped their second-straight road match and continue the weekend swing with a 2 p.m., match at UAB, Sunday.

"I was disappointed the way we played in the second half," Head Coach Gail Macklin said. "We seemed to fall apart. Memphis is a good team and they took advantage of our mistakes. We have to put this match behind us and get ready for UAB on Sunday. We have to play for 90 minutes."

UM (13-3-1, 5-0-1) garnered the shot advantage in the match, 36-4, in the match, including 10-1 with shots on goal.

Caroline Barrett, who was one of five Lady Tiger seniors celebrating Senior Night, scored the game's first goal in the 15th minute, capitalizing off a deflection from Southern Miss goalkeeper Anna Fiser on a UM corner kick. Fiser finished the night with six saves.

The Lady Tigers increased the lead 14 minutes later as Emiko Schwab notched a goal from two-yards away in front of the goal.

The game remained that way until the 73 minute when Ashley Berry scored off a UM free kick, that Schwab started for the Lady Tigers. Laura Laufenberg then completed the game's scoring with a goal from five yards off a cross from Amanda Olszewski in the 82nd minute.

Sarah McFadden tallied two of the Lady Eagles four shots in the contest.
