COLORADO SPRING, Co - Southern Miss was no match for the Tigers of Colorado College as they fell 6-0 in Conference USA action Friday evening at Stewart Field.

The Golden Eagles fell to 5-7-1 and 1-4 in C-USA play while the Tigers improved to 10-3-1 and 4-1 in conference play. Colorado College is also 7-0-1 at home this season.

"We lost to a very good and well organized team today," head coach Scott Ebke said. "We have to regroup and get ready for another tough opponent on Sunday."

Five different Tigers scored this afternoon with Kelly LaVoie finding the back of the net twice. The Tigers outshot Southern Miss 26-4.

Southern Miss keeper Holly Cox picked up nine saves allowing two goals in the first half while freshman Hannah Vanderboegh tallied two saves and allowed four goals in the second half.

Southern Miss returns to action Sunday at UTEP.
