C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medals Awarded; 19 Southern Miss Student-Athletes Honored
A total of 334 student-athletes, including 19 from the University of Southern Mississippi, have earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2007-08 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced. The medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.

Virginia Espejo Named Third Team All-Conference USA
Southern Miss freshman Virginia Espejo was named to the Women's Golf All-Conference USA Third Team in a vote by the league's nine coaches announced today by the league office in Irving, Texas.

Southern Miss Closes C-USA Women's Golf Championship in Seventh Place
After a tough day on the course yesterday, the Southern Miss women's golf team bounced back today, finishing in seventh place at the Conference USA Women's Golf Championships. The tournament was played at Butterfield Trail Golf Club in El Paso, Texas.
