Southern Miss Hits the Road for Two Key Conference-USA Games in the National Division

The Lady Eagles are coming off a 57-52 win at Marquette on Sunday, Feb. 4. Jessica Woods led the Lady Eagles in

scoring with 16 points, while Janique Williams and Angela Johnson combined for 25 points and 16 rebounds. Johnson also

pulled down nine rebounds.

Houston is 14-7 overall and 7-3 in conference play, following a 76-72 loss at Saint Louis on Sunday, Feb. 4. Monet Sykes

led the Lady Cougars with 25 points and seven rebounds.

South Florida is 3-18 overall and 0-10 in league play, following a 50-45 loss at Charlotte on Sunday. Aiya Shepard and

Shannon Layne scored 14 points, each.

Southern Miss leads the series with Houston, 6-3. Houston won the meeting in Hattiesburg on Jan. 12, 66-56. Southern

Miss leads the series with South Florida, 18-4. The Lady Eagles defeated South Florida in the first meeting this season in

Hattiesburg, 53-37.
