HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- - Southern Miss outdoor track and field teams competed in its own Southern Miss Invitational, recording several top performances on the day. Cornelius Duncan highlighted the meet, recording a regional qualifying time in the 400 meters with a time of 46.05 and finishing first. Duncan also record a time of 21.44 in the 200 meters, finishing third. Marvin Pinnock turned a time of 1:52.05 in the 800 meters to finish second. Rascive Grant ran 10.68 in the 100 meters, finishing second while Jasper Faulk was seventh with a time of 11.00. Cordell Kinn finished fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 47.94. Frederick Baldwin ran 15.21 in the 110-meter hurdles and finished sixth, then ran 56.87 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish seventh. Rodney Gray was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.43 and Mario King was eighth with a time of 15.85. Ricardo Page finished second in the shot with a throw of 50'8.25" and was third in the discus with a throw of 154'6". Hunter Adkins finished fifth in the pole vault with a height of 13'11.75". The 4x100-meter relay team finished third with a time of 41.75. The 4x400-meter relay team turned in the top time of the meet with a time of 3:10.84. On the women's side, Hana Prudilova recorded the top mark in the javelin with a throw of 141'5". Aaliyah Shareef finished first in the triple jump with a jump of 39'3.25". Cheris Fletcher ran a time of 2:15.84, finishing first in the 800 meters. Ashley Reyer finished second in the long jump with a jump of 18'10", third in the high jump with a height of 5'5", and second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.80. Karla Thurmond was eighth in the 100 meters with a time of 12.45. Tori Wells ran 25.42 in the 200 meters, finishing eighth. All four Golden Eagle runners in the 400 meters ran under one-minute, led by Kirsten Richards with a time of 57.79 for third-place, Jamaka Wall ran 58.22 to finish sixth, Carmen Dennis ran 58.33 to finish seventh and Terria Wheeler ran 59.19. Jolisa Evans ran 2:26.18 in the 800 meters, finishing fifth. Kenika Weaver finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.49. Lauren Reeves finished in a tie for fifth in the high jump with a jump of 5'1". Ashley May recorded a jump of 18'9.25", finishing third in the long jump. Dina Jean-Claude was fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 35'5". Suesanna Williams was sixth in the shot with a throw of 39'10.50" and third in the javelin with a throw of 122'10". The 4x100-meter relay team recorded a time of 47.54 to finish third and the 4x400-meter relay team was second with a time of 3:45.81.
