In singles play Mikka Kangas won the first and only point for Southern Miss when he defeated #8 ranked Ajay Ramaswami in the No. 1 spot.

The Golden Eagles fall to 1-5 on the year. The next match will be Saturday, March 3, vs. Florida A&M at Tatum Park in Hattiesburg, Miss.
