HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's tennis team rolled to 15 wins in the Crimson Tide Fall Invitational over the weekend, concluding its fall season.

The Golden Eagles finished with 11 singles victories that included two wins against nationally ranked opponents and winning the finals of the consolation draw.

Patricio Alvarado defeated No. 84 Nic Cromydas of Vanderbilt, 6-3, 6-3 and No. 77 Carlos Alvarez of Clemson, 6-2, 6-1, before falling to No. 50 Lucas Jovita (USF) in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, in the .

Jan Burmeister lost his first match, then, ran through the Gene Stallings consolation draw, defeating Hunter Mills (Auburn), 6-2, 6-1; Stewart McRae (UT Martin), 6-1, 6-3; and Steffen Soloman (Jacksonville State), 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (7-4).

Felipe Sylva advanced to the consolation finals of the Bart Starr Draw with wins over Diego Martinez (Troy), 6-2, 6-1; Vinny Creverio (Jacksonville), 6-3, 6-1, before losing to Spencer Heflin (Memphis), in a walkover.

Domagoj Anic advanced to the quarterfinals of the John Hannah Draw with wins over Gregory Bekkers (Georgia Southern), 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 6-4 and Eduardo Saratt (Jacksonville State), 6-0, 6-1.

Strate Krstevski and Markus Wessinghage added two wins for the Golden Eagles, 8-5, over Alain and Mark Paetz (Georgia Southern) and Thomas Bellman and Steffen Soloman (Jacksonville State).
