The 18th-ranked South Alabama men's tennis team blanked Southern Mississippi 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Orange Beach Tennis Center. The Golden Eagles dropped to 8-8 on the season, while South Alabama improved to 15-3.

The Jaguars won two of the three doubles matches to win the doubles point to begin the match. The Eagles' top duo of Andrew Poole and Markus Wessinghage defeated USA's doubles team of Robert Hodel and Marek Sramek, 8-5. The Jaguars responded winning at Nos. 2 and 3 to win the point. USA's Robert Nagel and Jack Baker knocked off USM's Domagoj Anic and Callen Fraychineaud at No. 2, 8-1, while Craig Dunne and Dias Doskarayev defeated Diego and Oscar Machuca at No. 3, 8-4.

South Alabama won all six singles matches with four in straight sets. Diego Machuca lost in three sets to Dunne, 2-6, 7-6, 7-6, at No. 4 singles, while Strate Krstevski won the first set before finally losing to Hodel, 4-6, 6-0, 6-4, at no. 5 singles.

Southern Miss returns to action on Wednesday, Mar. 28, against Troy at 12 p.m.
