HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team opens the 2008 spring season in Orlando, Fla. The Golden Eagles will participate at the UCF Rio Pinar Invitational, taking place at the 7,003 yard, par 72 Rio Pinar Golf & Country Club.
Eighteen teams will compete in this event. Southern Miss will be joined by Conference USA members UCF and Memphis, as well as Arkansas State, Chattanooga, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Mercer and Ole Miss. North Florida, Ohio State, Old Dominion, South Alabama, Tulsa, UT-Arlington, USF and Wichita State round out the field
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday, starting with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the final 18 holes starting at 8:00 a.m.
