Madison, Miss. - Southern Miss redshirt sophomore Paul Apyan shot a four-under par 140 over the first two rounds to lead the Golden Eagles at the Bank of America Intercollegiate, being played at the Reunion Golf Country Club in Madison, Miss.

Apyan opened the tournament with consecutive rounds of 70 to sit in a tie for seventh place with four other players heading into the final round.

Sophomore Wes Carter is in a tie for 42nd-place after shooting 76-73 for a five-over par 149.

Junior Rocky Cleland and senior Kyle Ramey are tied for 52nd-place. Cleland shot rounds of 77-74, while Ramey went 74-77 for a seven-over 151. Sophomore Tyler Sparks (75-77) rounds out the scoring for the Eagles, shooting an eight-over 152.

UT-Chattanooga and LSU are tied for the lead in the team competition with a 13-under par 563. Ole Miss is two strokes back with 565 strokes. Southern Miss is in 12th-place, shooting a two-round total of 589 (295-294).

Ole Miss' Jonathan Randolph leads the individual competition, as he shot a nine-under 135. Ian Rochester of Memphis is in second with a six-under 138.

The tournament closes Tuesday morning with the final 18. Play begins at 8:50 a.m. with a shotgun start from the first tee.
